Will my late payment on Maurices Credit card cause me to not get apartment?

I do not own any other credit cards, this is my first one. I have not been late until this month. I am trying to get into a new apartment, but I noticed on the application it said that credit scores were a huge part in the decision making. How badly will the late payment affect my credit score? Do you think that I will be denied the apartment? Thanks!
