Should I take my moms anxiety medication?

I have major social anxiety. I was looking for something in my moms room and ran across Sertraline. I want to just pop a pill or two within a couple days. Yes, there are side effects like every other pill, and no the pills are not prescribed to me, but what if it works? I've been trying to go see the counselor about anxiety, but he only refers meditation, which works to an extent, but I want mediCATION. I tend to stay home instead of hang with friends because I don't want people to think I'm stupid. I'm so tired of this. mentally.
