Do I need to sink my posts into the ground for my play area?

Bottom line is the safety of the kids playing on it and the safest way is to do what you dont want to do. You can get a post hole digger or rent a gas powered post auger and make some holes at least 2' deep, throw in some fence post cement, some water and your done.
