Where can I park my motorcycle in the summer?

im getting a bike and i can ride it only in summer, I dont have a house with a garage so i was wondering if its ok to park my bike on the street all summer and i dont know where to put it in the winter ? (in my basement ?) i live in Canada if your wondering
