What does the dance of Bolero de Ravel tell?

From what I read on the wikipedia page the other person posted...it sounds like a group of people start dancing, and a female dancer gets up on the table and dances until she loses control and descends into madness. I love this song and think it's a very sensual piece of music so she could be dancing for her man and trying to entice him to her. Good question.
