I am trying to glue canvas to glass that withstands high heat, what is my best choice.?

Im trying to glue the canvas back to the glass in my car. I used heavy duty glue but the heat was too much. What is a good glue to use to bond these two materials that will withstand the heat of summmer and the cold of winter and prevent water from leaking into the car? Auto store said I have to replace the cover and the window but that is not an option right now...... any advice is very much appriciated!
